Family

The sun is beaming down on each individual leaf. Highlighting and capturing mother nature’s natural wreath. Water splashing with laughters of pure delight. Having fun, giggling basking in God’s light. Clouds of tradition cut the air, as the wood starts ashening. Eyes bulging, as we rush to get served before the rationing. The wind blowing just right, gently cooling the heated sites. A strand of hair gently caresses my face. I smile, look around capturing not to forget this time and place.

Tweeting

Everyday I sit under the same tree. The same bird always comes near me. From limb to limb it keeps hopping. Tweeting a song the whole time never stopping. I tried to mimick its pitch and tone. Now the bird doesn’t leave me alone. Everyday it comes to the tree. It looks and tweets singing to me. Now when I’m in my quiet place, if I don’t sing back it flutters at my face. Its song changed to something really frantic, as if it thinks its lost my friendship and began to panic. This cute little bird that I’ve come to adore, doesn’t understand the concept of me being tired not its not being ignored.
